Several years ago two women traveling two different paths each found themselves faced with the challenges of fighting breast cancer. Separately, they pursued their treatment with the loving support of their families, but still felt that sense of being "alone" in this battle. This was a feeling that, despite the most sincere sympathies, no one except for a survivor could really understand.

Some time had passed after their treatments, complications, and reconstruction, when these women realized that the battle would continue long after the physical healing. This was the struggle with the inner scars that their traumatic experiences had left. So they sought to find support and found each other. What they also found was a startling reality.

The reality is that while many organizations invest their efforts in fundraising for research, very few are there to help the survivors directly. Many of us fighting and surviving can attest to the hidden and lingering costs, insurance company frustrations, cosmetic concerns, emotional turmoil, and other unexpected issues.

So Mary Ann and Vasanti decided to embark on a different kind of business. One that would be the catalyst for sharing their stories, spreading awareness, and supporting survivors and fighters in their time of need.
